Fire Feature Warranties by Brand

A fire feature warranty is rarely one number. Most manufacturers cover the body, the burner and the electronics for different lengths of time, and a few cover only certain kinds of failure. Below, each brand we carry is laid out component by component, with the exact document the terms come from, and with the places where two of a brand's own documents disagree. When they do, the paperwork that ships with your unit is the one to keep.

How to read these tables

Each table lists what the manufacturer's own document says: the component, the term and the source. The terms are the manufacturer's, not ours. They can change, and the version that applies to you is the one in effect for your unit, which is why we point you to the warranty card or manual in the box. Our own shipping, returns and warranty page covers store policy. For the terms on your model, the manufacturer's document is the reference, and we are glad to help you read it.

Three habits protect you with every brand. Keep your invoice, because nearly every warranty asks for proof of purchase. Have gas and electrical work done by licensed professionals, because improper installation is a common exclusion. And follow the care guide, because neglect and misuse void coverage almost everywhere.

Prism Hardscapes

The Prism Hardscapes Warranty offers repair or replacement, FOB Prism's facility, and excludes misuse, user error, installation error, abuse, repair or alteration, and burning wood or other fuels the product was not built for. The 2-year term is repeated in the Lombard, Cilindro, Rotondo, Pentola, Elements and Fire and Water manuals.

Where the documents differ

The Ovale Installation Guide states a 1-year warranty, while the current Prism Hardscapes Warranty states 2 years. An older Prism warranty dated 2019 also circulates online. If you own or are buying an Ovale, check the warranty paperwork that ships with your unit and keep it with your invoice.

Slick Rock Concrete

The scope matters here. Slick Rock's concrete warranty is written around structural cracking and sealer failure, not general wear, and the remedy is at Slick Rock's discretion: repair materials, resealing, recoloring or replacement. Coverage depends on following the recommended cleaning and maintenance, and Slick Rock's liability is limited to the quality of its concrete items, not installation or placement. Its care guide notes that small, non-structural cracks are common and inherent in pre-cast concrete, and that colors vary.

American Fyre Designs

The 2026 catalog applies the warranty to the original purchaser with invoice or proof of purchase, and to single family residential use only. The older American Fyre Designs Limited Warranty adds that it does not cover labor except under separate written programs from the Peterson Co., that Peterson pays freight when a product or part is found defective, and that products can be registered through rhpeterson.com. Its exclusions include improper installation, lack of maintenance, high wind damage, cosmetic rust or discoloration unless the part becomes inoperable, and burning wood or any fuel other than natural gas or propane.

Where the documents differ

The older American Fyre Designs Limited Warranty (a 2019 file) puts GFRC fire features and burners at 3 years, and valves, electrical components, accessories and controls at 1 year. The 2026 catalog moves burners to 1 year and accessories to 3 years. Check the warranty paperwork that ships with your unit.

Fire by Design

Fire by Design excludes misuse, neglect, accident, incorrect wiring and use against the operating instructions, units altered or repaired by anyone else, and stress cracks and surface crazing in concrete bowls. Warranty returns need the original purchase information, such as an invoice or product serial number.

Fire Pit Art

Coverage is for the original purchaser, who sends photographs of the defect to Fire Pit Art for evaluation. Fire Pit Art repairs or replaces at its choice and excludes shipping and handling charges. The warranty excludes accident, misuse, negligence, tampering and modifications, and saltwater environments are excluded, which matters for coastal homes.

Where the documents differ

The Bella Vita pages describe a 100-year guarantee on materials and craftsmanship, while the Warranty page says 100 years for structural integrity. The Linear and Fire Mesa pages mention a lifetime warranty, while the Warranty page gives 10 years for carbon steel and 100 years structural for stainless. Check the paperwork that ships with your piece.

Elementi and Modeno

The Elementi policy applies to non-commercial personal use only, is non-transferable, and requires gas lines to be installed by a licensed gas fitter. It excludes shipping damage, staining and abuse, dings, dents, scratches, fading and natural weathering, decorative rock, minor chipping, water staining and non-structural hairline cracks. Modeno is an Elementi brand and follows the same policy.

Where the documents differ

The general Elementi policy says 1 year, while the four Elementi Plus porcelain product pages say 2 years. For those four models, keep the paperwork that ships with your table.

Waterstone

Waterstone does not publish written exclusions or a claim procedure. If you are buying a stone table, ask us to confirm the terms in writing with your order.

Making a claim, smoothly

Most claims move quickly when the facts are ready. Before you call, gather the invoice, the model and any serial number or date code, the installer's name, and clear photographs of the problem with something in the frame for scale. Do not attempt a repair first; several brands exclude work done by anyone other than the manufacturer. Common questions

Which fire feature brand has the longest warranty?

It depends on the component. Fire Pit Art gives the longest terms on the body, with 10 years on carbon steel and 100 years for structural integrity on stainless steel. Fire by Design offers lifetime coverage on fire rings and aluminum burner pans. For concrete, terms run from 1 year to 3 years depending on the brand and the part. Compare the component you care about most, not a headline number.

Does a fire feature warranty cover commercial use?

Often not, or not on the same terms. The American Fyre Designs catalog limits its warranty to single family residential use, and the Elementi policy covers non-commercial personal use only. Fire by Design and Slick Rock cover electronic ignition for 3 years in residential use and 1 year in commercial use. For a restaurant, hotel or other commercial project, confirm terms with us before ordering.

What if my manual and the warranty document say different things?

It happens, because manufacturers update one document before another. We note known differences in this guide, such as the Prism Ovale manual and the older American Fyre Designs warranty. Keep the warranty paperwork that ships with your unit, along with your invoice, and contact us if you are unsure which terms apply to your model.

Are hairline cracks in concrete covered by warranty?

Usually not, unless they are structural. Slick Rock covers structural cracking and sealer failure, while Fire by Design excludes stress cracks and surface crazing, and Elementi excludes non-structural hairline cracks. Handmade concrete can show fine surface lines and color variation as part of its character. If you see a crack, photograph it and contact us so we can ask the manufacturer.
